From an NLP point of view, Values can be defined as ‘what is important to you’, or ‘what we want or are looking for’, in any particular
context or area of our life. For example, if one of our key values in our career is‘sense of purpose’, we will seek tasks and situations whichgive us a sense of purpose. If one of our key values in the context
of personal relationships relationships is ‘loyality’, we will seek a partner who is loyal or loyality is important. If our values are not
being met, and what is important to us is not being realised, we may feel let down, sense of frustration, anger, though when our values are met in any context we feel more gravitation to that situation.
