Creativity
And as you go deeper and deeper now you begin to realize everyone is born with an ability to be creative. Creativity is something that is inherent in all of us, it is said by the time the average person has reached the age of 50, they have stored, within the memory banks of that marvellous computer we call the human, brain some 70 trillion bits and pieces of information. If a person of below average IQ has stored, say, only 50 trillion bits of information by that time and a person with above average IQ has stored, lets say 90 trillion bits of information that is still more than most of us will really need. By simplifying this statement, we might say that even one trillion bits of information would be perfectly adequate, providing of course that there is no neurological damage that prevents or limits access to this accumulated information. So, we see, that in terms of reasonable and feasibly useful information, even the most average of the average among us, has as much as the brightest of us, with the inherent capacity of always acquiring more information. The difference however, between those of us who create and innovate, and those who don’t, is that the creative person has learned how to properly use what he has accumulated. This you will now learn. Nature in her bountiful wisdom provided us with not one, but two brains. the left side of the brain or the left hemisphere is basically logical and analytical. it draws conclusions based on the logical order or things. We call this process sequential reasoning, the right side of the brain is basically intuitive in nature, and it utilizes imagery and is associated with the creative, artistic and the musical. In most people, one hemisphere of the brain is dominant over the other, most of the time. The truly creative person has either consciously or subconsciously learned to bring both sides of the brain into a proper and harmonious balance. so that they function together.
Creativity
I would like you now, in your imagination, to travel, back to a time when you were particularly creative and inspired, and you will not hear my voice for several seconds while you do this. Now become vividly aware of the surrounding stimuli, notice where you are physically and what objects, furniture or people, if any, are there. Are you standing or sitting? Notice the temperature. See, hear, feel, taste and smell. Now, as you notice all that, which you saw, heard, felt, tasted and smelled, take another few seconds. Now, capture as vividly as possible, the emotional feelings of creative inspiration, as you enjoy it. Feel the pride and enthusiasm flowing through you. Take a few moments to do this. Now picture and imagine yourself, sometime in the future, right after completing a project that you are currently engaged in or intend to engage yourself in. again, experiencing the scene in as many senses as appropriate and applicable. Take a few more seconds to do this. Now see your completed work, examine it closely. Notice how very pleased you are with it and how very proud you are. It represents your very finest work. From this moment on, whenever you are about to work on a creative project, I’d like you first to close your eyes, take a slow deep breath, filling up your lungs, then slowly exhale and as you exhale, see a cool, white mist coming from your nostrils. and as you see the cool, white mist, a wave of relaxation comes over you, from the top of your head, down to the tips of your toes. imagine yourself, just calm, peaceful and deeply relaxed. Now, allow your mind to drift back to a time, when you were filled with inspiration, experiencing it just as vividly as possible, just as you did a few moments ago, then you say to yourself the word” create”. and as you are saying the word “create”, I would like you to picture your brain as a balance scale. Each half of it on a different side. but one side is heavier and hangs down lower than the other. It doesn’t matter which side, just pick the side which is most suitable for you. Now, see the two sides of the scale begin to balance themselves, until they are completely even, allowing for a harmonious and integrated partnership. They are now in balance, then, take another deep breath, exhale slowly, open your eyes and begin working and as you do this, you find yourself becoming much more creative; thoughts and ideas will flow easily and effortlessly, like water from a tap. And as you work, you are filled with desire, determination, joy and drive and each and every day in every conceivable way, you find yourself learning something new about yourself and the world about you. This helps you become even more creative, and you now continually fill your life with joy, expectations and creative inspiration, you now, become the person you want to be, will be and deserve to be.
In a moment you will come back to full conscious awareness, not until I tell you to. I will count from one to five. When I reach the count of five, your eyes well open and you will be wide awake and fully alert.
Counting now…One, coming up more and more, feeling wonderfully good about yourself…Two, completely and totally relaxed, all your normal sensations and perceptions restored…Three, you are perfect in every way, physically perfect, mentally perfect…Four, your eyes now feel as if they have been bathed in pure, fresh spring water, clear, and refreshed. Now, on the next number, you will open your eyes, take a deep breath, stretch and feel refreshed and more alert than ever before.
Five, click fingers, eyes wide open. feeling wide awake, alert, wonderfully refreshed, and have the best day you can possibly have.
