And as you continue to drift deeper, deeper and even deeper into relaxation, so calm, so comfortable, so relaxed. The suggestions that I now give to you, enter your memory bank. They are accurately recorded. They are supported by your deep desire, and total belief. These suggestions have energy. They pulsate through the body as positive, post hypnotic suggestions. To be acted upon, while in the waking state. All of the good suggestions I give you, from this moment on, direct your confidence, and your ability to be a great public speaker. Now remember, these suggestions will be accurately recorded in the memory banks of your brain. You like people; you enjoy the company of other people. You enjoy doing things for other people. You enjoy making people happy and other people sense this feeling in you. People are aware that you like them and they return the feeling, and you find that people like you, people enjoy your company, and, people like to listen to you. You are at ease when you are with people, and when you stand before an audience, you are filled with the feeling of friendliness towards them, and you feel their friendliness, towards you. You experience a feeling of warmth and sympathy, in fellowship, radiating from the members of the audience to you. And you know they are on your side, and you in turn feel friendly to them.  You are interested in them, you wish to do things for them, you are so interested in them, you feel a personal sense of friendship with each and every member of the audience. Your sense of friendship is so great, that talking to these people is just like talking to the ones who love you most, in the entire world. In this particular situation, you feel you are perfectly poised, calm, self confident and feel free to express yourself. You feel at ease, you enjoy doing this for your friends. You are having a very enjoyable time. Having fun doing this public speaking.

Fun, having lots of fun. You find the same satisfaction at this time, as you do, when you do a favour for the one who loves you the most. you are so much at ease, you have so much fun, that automatically you are relaxed, poised and calm. Your lips are flexible, you mouth is moist, your breathing is deep from the diaphragm, your hands are poised and calm, the gestures flow easily and freely. Your legs are strong beneath you, you are peaceful. you are most secure and confident in this situation. Your eyes automatically travel over the audience, with a sparkle, and there is a smile in your heart, which comes to your lips spontaneously at all times. Now, visualise yourself going down deeper into relaxation, more deeply than ever before. As I count from 10 to 1 just picture yourself going down an escalator or elevator as you go deeper, deeper and ever deeper. Taking that first step ten…going deeper now…nine way down…eight… seven…six…five…so much time, nothing to do, but relax…four…three…deeper, deeper…two…one…deeper and deeper. Now utilise your imagination. See in your minds eye, see yourself speaking in front of an audience, visualise it, very clear now, with sharp and crisp pictures. See yourself before the audience, you’re calm, poised, you have full control of all your faculties. You feel totally confident; there is a rapport between you and the audience. Visualise yourself now just the way you want to be. See yourself as a fully accomplished public speaker and remember, your responsibility, is to keep the proper picture in the brain because the subconscious has the ability and the tendency to actualise the pictures in the brain. If you hold the picture of success long enough, the subconscious mind will actualise that picture, so your responsibility to yourself, is to keep only positive and successful pictures in the brain. And as you do, the subconscious mind will actualise those pictures, and you will be a successful and happy and calm  public speaker. Rewarded with gratifying success. Now I give to you, more suggestions that will allow you to be an effective speaker. Saying to yourself, I am poised and spontaneous, free in all my contacts with other human beings. I am especially poised when I am before the public when I am being introduced; I feel a wave of sympathy, understanding and friendship for my entire audience. As I am introduced, I find their friendship radiating towards me. I perform confidently, and enjoy the act of performing. I am poised, and I am master of the situation at all times. My lips are flexible, my mouth is moist. I breathe deeply from the diaphragm. My hands are poised and calm. The gestures flow spontaneously and freely. My legs are strong beneath me, I am secure and confident. My eyes systematically travel over the audience, seeking out my friends in the farthest rows. There is a smile within me that spontaneously comes to my lips at the proper times. When my performance is concluded, I am warmed and gratified by the applause. I talk graciously, with full confidence to those who congratulate me. I have had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The whole idea is symbolised by thought and poise. And the word poise, is your key. Poise is the key word. The word is poise. At any point and any time, when you need to feel the full impact of the all these wonderful suggestions, simply say the word poise. You instantly become calm, confident and self assured. Any time you say the word poise you become calm cool, confident and self assured. In a moment, you will return to your full awareness. I will count from one to five. When I reach the count of five, your eyes will open and you will be wide awake. Counting now…one…coming up more and more, feeling wonderfully good…etc, etc
